Let's Get Started

When you read something, you want to learn from it right? I want that novel, play, poem, biography, or whatever else you can think of, to change me. I don't mean to change you into a different person, just a better one. That's what books do. They add new perspectives that you didn't know about before. Whether it's time, area, religion, race, gender, or any other trait that makes someone different than me, they know something that I can learn from. So my goal is to read thirty books in this next little while. I want to change in thirty ways that are gonna make me more intellectual, spiritual, practical, emotional, etc. I guess you could say that I want to learn in thirty different ways.

Here is how this is gonna work.
  1. Pick a book.
  2. Learn about that book's author, setting, and theme.
  3. Pray to the Muses I'll learn something.
  4. Read the book.
  5. Ponder about what you've read.
  6. Write down your thoughts, opinions, hopes, dreams, etc.
  7. Be Better!
These steps don't seem as easy, or hard, as you might think. But just try to go along with it. By the end of this challenge, you are sure gonna be a lot more intelligent I'll promise you that. Plus, books are memories that you treasure. I can tell you that some of the worst books I've ever read still have some happy thoughts.

Let's get this thing on the road!
